The Nine Planets

In Vedic astrology, the nine planets (Navagrahas) are the primary forces that shape our destiny. Each planet represents specific energies, qualities, and life areas.

Understanding the Grahas

The Sanskrit word "Graha" means "to grasp" or "to seize." The planets are called Grahas because they grasp or influence our consciousness and destiny. In Vedic astrology, even the Sun and Moon are classified as planets, along with the lunar nodes Rahu and Ketu.
